Nina Šenk

The Slovenian composer Nina Šenk is the focus of the next ›Happy New Ears‹ concert. She studied in Ljubljana, Dresden and Munich with Pavel Mihelčič, Lothar Voigtländer and Matthias Pintscher and is the recipient of multiple awards, most recently the Austrian 2024 Erste Bank Composition Prize. The winning work, ›November Night‹, inspired by a poem by the American poet Adelaide Crapsey, will be given its German premiere under the baton of Pablo Rus Broseta. The Ensemble Modern percussionist David Haller is the moderator of this evening, which offers a chance to get to know the versatile composer better.
