with HK Gruber, Wallis Giunta and amarcord

Finally, HK ›Nali‹ Gruber returns to Ensemble Modern! Together with the soprano Wallis Giunta and the a-cappella ensemble amarcord, they travel to the USA, presenting Kurt Weill’s ›Die Sieben Todsünden‹ in a new version for chamber ensemble. Works by Paul Hindemith, Erich Wolfgang Korngold and Arnold Schoenberg will also be featured in the concerts at New York’s Carnegie Hall, at DaCamera in Houston and at a pre-tour appearance at the Alte Oper Frankfurt. At Carnegie Hall, Ensemble Modern will also present a second programme focusing on the Cuban-American composer Tania León. Learn more about the programme in this interview with the president of the Kurt Weill Foundation, Kim H. Kowalke, and in the video with EM’s pianist Ueli Wiget.
