Checkpoint

Creative open spaces to develop one’s own artistic ideas, getting to know other artistic practices, exchanging views with artists of other genres and joining them in tinkering with sounds: those are the goals of the ›Checkpoint‹ concert series, initiated by Ensemble Modern in 2015. The upcoming concert features Tim Etchells, artistic director of the British theatre collective ›Forced Entertainment‹, who is a writer and visual artist in addition to his theatre work. He is looking forward to the collaboration: »New impulses, a change of perspective, another gaze on one’s own work, that’s what makes encounters like these so enriching.« The evening includes five musicians from Ensemble Modern and Tim Etchells as a performer.
